Dr. Casey Paul Griffiths is an assistant professor in the Department of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. He served in Seminaries and Institutes for over a decade as a teacher and curriculum writer before joining the faculty at BYU. He has received a master’s degree in Religious Education and a PhD in educational leadership and foundations from Brigham Young University.
He is the author of numerous books and articles focusing on the Church history, most recently of By Study and Also By Faith: One Hundred Years of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion. Dr. Griffiths recently received the Best International Article award from the Mormon History Association for a work he coauthored. He is currently engaged in a project to compile and write a comprehensive history of education in the Church. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents of three children.
